Current Value vs Future Value

By mdexim61

Think like this:

What is Current Value?

Current value means what you have right now.

Examples:

  • ₹10,000 salary
  • ₹5,000 savings
  • Your current skills (like basic Excel, driving, etc.)

Problem: Value Goes Down If You Don’t Grow It

1. Money loses value (Inflation)

Example:

  • Today ₹100 can buy snacks + chai
  • After few years, same ₹100 may only buy chai

So money sitting idle = losing value

2. Salary stays stuck

Example:

  • Person A earns ₹15,000/month
  • After 5 years, still ₹15,000

Why? No new skills

Meanwhile…

  • Person B learns new skills
  • Salary grows to ₹40,000/month

Same starting point, different future

3. Small Business Example

Example:

Shopkeeper A:

  • Earns ₹1,000/day
  • Doesn’t improve shop or products

After 3 years → still same income

Shopkeeper B:

  • Adds online orders (WhatsApp, Instagram)
  • Improves products

After 3 years → ₹3,000/day

👉 That’s future value growth

What is Future Value?

Future value means growth of your money, skills, or work over time

Simple idea:
👉 Don’t just keep things — grow them
